More About the Pearsons

In their live shows you'll find them on the keyboards, guitar, and mandolin. The Pearsons have written and recorded on many CDs and their work can also be found on projects by Target, Irving Music (former publishing arm of A&M), Deseret Book, and Frog and Scorpion Records. Larry is both a writer and arranger of numerous commercial jingles as well as songs on PBS. Michael McLean fans will remember Marie's original recording of "Gentle" as well as "Lullaby For Me" on his most recently released album. You may hear Marie's familiar voice on many national voice overs.

Others share the enthusiasm for The Pearsons including former A&M Records' president Gil Friesen who said "Marie Pearson has a wonderful, natural voice. Her sound reminds me of Karen Carpenter."

The Pearsons have several songs on compilations discs from Deseret Book ("His Love volume 2" and the youth CD "Whatever It Takes".) Sounds of Zion newly released youth CD "Believe" features their music. Their song about the birth of Marie's third child on 9/11/01 entitled "Rebecca's Song" was placed on Frog and Scorpion Records compilation CD "One Nation Under God".

Larry reflected on the years he and his sister have been performing together and said, "I think we've been really blessed to be able to let other people hear our music. We get letters, phone calls, or people coming up to us after a concert, telling us how our song expressed the way they feel. That makes it worth it." Marie has said "I think the diversity of the songwriting is what connects with people, there are so amazing stories all around us and we just tyro tell some of them in our songwriting. I think one of the reasons we have a broad base of listeners is that not only do we love to do beautiful ballads but we also really love exploring a lot of upbeat tempos and use different instruments.
